Saab Steering Lock Bypass

Saab 9-3 and 9-5 vehicles equipped with the electronic steering column lock are notorious for a specific failure where the lock mechanism jams and prevents the ignition from turning. The dashboard displays a "Steering Locked" message and the car becomes completely immobile. This is caused by a faulty micro-switch and worn gear mechanism inside the Column Integration Module (CIM).
